This article focuses on one story, while harnessing many different researchers and their work. Each one touches on different elements and stories of new ways of teaching, and how the old system is no longer beneficial.

This is a very interesting and wonderful article. I was so excited to read it not only for its scientific message but also its total social affects. I believe the generic school systems in place now are limiting the minds of children, and turning them into robotic thinkers, explained in this wonderful quote below by Alison Gopnik, a professor of psychology at UC Berkeley.
"If you program a robot’s every movement, she says, it can’t adapt to anything unexpected. But when scientists build machines that are programmed to try a variety of motions and learn from mistakes, the robots become far more adaptable and skilled. The same principle applies to children."
I had a good time at school, but reflecting on the way I was taught, I realise how I was in a way programed to think a different way, and learn in a very specific way, instead of learning my own way and doing it at my own pace. It has taken me a while to let go of many beliefs and ideas that I was taught in school, but I know now that those teachings are no longer relevant in my life now.
Please let me know what you think about this article, and your thoughts and experiences about your schooling life. I know many parents now searching for alternate schools, or practicing new types of home schooling.
